Southeastern welcomes students back for the start of classes this week while we continue to keep all faculty, staff and students who are not yet able to make it to campus in our thoughts as the region works to recover from devastating flooding.

National Library Week at Sims

It's time again for National Library Week! This year, Sims celebrates Sunday, April 14- Friday, April 19, 2013. Please look over the following schedule of events and be sure to stop by the Library. This year's National Library Week theme is "Communities Matter @ Your Library."

 

Sims National Library Week Schedule of Events:

Fine Free Week - Return overdue books during Fine Free Week and donate one nonperishable food item and have your late fees forgiven on the spot. The Library Food Drive will benefit the Tangi Food Pantry.
Sunday, April 14- Friday, April 19

Baton Rouge Nursing Library will also celebrate with a reception and cake.
Monday, April 15, 10:00 a.m.-12 noon.

Readings at Sims Library - Come hear selections from original works by Southeastern's own and other local writers. Readings will include light refreshments.
Monday, April 15, 6:30 p.m.

Book Sale - Support Sims Library and get some great books at unbeatable prices. CASH ONLY please. Cake will be served at noon on April 17.
Wednesday, April 17-Thursday, April 18, 9:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m.
