Due to the recent weather closures, the deadline for making schedule adjustments (Drop/Add period) has been extended until Tuesday, January 23 at 5:00 p.m. The final fee payment deadline has been extended to Wednesday, January 24 at 5:00 p.m. Further information on any additional changes to the spring calendar will be forthcoming.

Welcome to the Department of Fine and Performing Arts, where our students experience a creative, fulfilling and well-rounded academic adventure pursuing their artistic goals. 

The Department of Fine and Performing Arts offers diverse programs and courses in art and design, music, theatre and dance. We seek to prepare students who will be leaders in the profession by employing the highest standards in performance, teaching, research, and artistic and creative vision.

The Music Program offers undergraduate degrees in music performance and education, and a minor in music. Graduate degrees in Performance, Theory, Instrumental Conducting, and Choral Conducting are also offered.


Visual Art + Design

Visual Art + Design offers a well-rounded course of study that provides students with the skills necessary to pursue a professional career in the arts, including creative problem solving, visual literacy and communication, and critical thinking.



Southeastern's theatre program is designed to provide a broad perspective of the literature, history and creative practices of the discipline. Course work includes acting, directing, voice and movement training, stage management, and more.



The Dance Program offers classes in Technique, Choreography, History, Pedagogy, and Performance. Dancers perform each semester in the departmental dance company, Dance Performance Project.
