The purposes of the Health Systems Management (HSM) program are to prepare graduates who are able to understand current and future healthcare industry trends and issues; to develop, communicate and manage resources, and develop solutions to challenges for healthcare systems; and to improve overall quality and outcomes of healthcare systems and services.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
  • Southeastern expects to begin enrolling students in this program in Fall 2015

  • U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that healthcare employment is projected to have one of the fastest growth rates between 2010 and 2020

  • Students in the program complete capstone projects and supervised professional practice experiences

  • Accelerated option allows students to complete academic requirements by following a three-year, fast-track curriculum

  • Several courses offered online to share instruction load, library holdings and other resources with McNeese State University in Lake Charles
